Inactivity in General Leads to Poor Energy Levels
“With most of us leading sedentary lives. Many people use only approximately 60 per cent of the available range of motion in their joints. Our hips, knees, shoulders and spine can become very stiff. Our ageing process combined with lack of use may lead to pain. Many people find they are very stiff or simply can’t move the way you used too. Inactivity in general leads to over poor energy levels and strain. Lack of mobility means we can feel pain as muscles and joints are stretched beyond its normal use.
Physiotherapy Can Really Help
It’s important to identify bad postural habits and conditions as early as possible really. Physiotherapy can really help to prevent irreversible degenerative changes which lead to pain and further on may lead chronic pain killer use. Orthopaedic options are steroid injections and perhaps a visit to the orthopaedic surgeon in the long term! Not my idea of fun. It is really a case that prevention is better than cure” – Ian Norman (Osteopath)
