Traditional Acupuncture is a tried and tested healthcare system based on ancient principles. These ideas go back nearly two thousand years. It has a very positive model of good health and function, and looks at pain and illness as signs that the body is out of balance.

Jenny’s style of Traditional style includes Acupuncture, moxibustion (practitioners use moxa to warm the body) cupping and electro-stimulation acupuncture techniques. At the Hatfield Practice Jenny  works closely with our excellent team of  Osteopaths / Physiotherapists. Practitioners at the hatfield Practice aim to work together where possible. This we believe improves our treatment effectiveness as often two heads are better than one. Acupuncture treat a large range of muscle, joint, nerve injuries and although not a cure seems to work very well with arthritic pain. Acupuncture  covers a broad spectrum pain syndromes but also works amazingly well with problematic conditions such as hay fever, shingles, irritable bowel syndrome and may help asthma.

Jenny’s special interest is in the treatment of migraine and headaches. Another special interest  area is in Women’s Health conditions including menstrual problems and fertility. Acupuncture may also be helpful for incontinence, anxiety and sleep disturbances.

Jenny received her first degree in English and Art History from University College Dublin before venturing into studies in natural health and Chinese Medicine. She received her BSc in Acupuncture from the University of Westminster in 2013, having trained at the University Polyclinic and in the NHS. She is a member of the largest organization of acupuncturists in the UK, the British Acupuncture Council, representing and regulating over 3000 practitioners.
